Thin Caterpillar Stripes = Cold DC Winter

by DullesHomeGuy on November 17, 2009

Storms and Rumors of storms blog shows caterpillar stripes which change year after year.

Local folklore says thin stripes are signs of a severe winter.

Caterpillars show thin stripes this year.

So many are talking about the cold, cold winter that the DC area is supposed to have 09/10.

Maybe because of the cool summer.

Hope it snows the heck out everything.

Everyone will learn to drive in the snow.

Snow plow drivers won’t have to sit for boring hours by the side of the road.

Schools can actually decide they will indeed, close, because of the heavy snow.

Warmer temps mean “Wintry Mix” or worse–ice.

Ice storms–what a mess.
